The baby boomer generation holds more than half of all the assets in their possession in the United States. But the clock is ticking and the millennials and the Gen Z are waiting in the wings to take up the inheritance. What will they do with the money? What will their portfolio structures look like in the future?
For those of us who believe in the importance of decentralized money and bitcoin first, as savings tech, settlement layer and as the basis of the future financial system, it is obvious that younger people will have easier access to digital processes and digital money. It is therefore no risk to say that a large proportion of inherited wealth will be shifted into Bitcoin, especially as numerous asset managers are now addressing this issue in the wake of the etf launches and will promote Bitcoin as a credible alternative for wealth accumulation.
It's interesting how Gen X' share completely plateaued the last two times they were making steady advances. The first one gave the Boomers their last hurrah and the second accelerated the Millennials accumulation.
I guess when you're the smallest generation, you get squeezed out by the others politically.

I seriously doubt Gen X is ever going to have "a president". I think after Trump/Biden it will then just skip directly to Millenials...lol
In a way tho, I'd be happy with that...

There is still time for generation X to be President
I think millennials are the worst when it comes to free speech and civil discourse and general open mindedness
Full disclosure: I am generation X. I am totally objective and impartial in case you were wondering 🤔

I kinda feel like it might be over after Trump’s second term.

It’s possible
I think millennials are more loud on social media so they sound more prominent and influential
A millennial White House is most likely bad news for the world

Clinton was the first Boomer president over 30 years ago and then we went backwards with Biden (who's Greatest generation).
Obama is technically a Boomer, but he seemed a lot more Gen X.

Very true. Even Kamala Harris is technically a boomer (she too seems more Gen X I guess....hard to say when you've got zero personality)
I think Desantis is a Gen Xer....but doubt he stands a chance now.
Maybe Rogan/Carlson will run! ha...
reply
Yeah, I had been thinking Desantis would be first. Before the Trump era, I thought Nikki Haley would be the first lady president and she's also Gen X. That seems a bit far-fetched now.

Biden is silent generation, born in 1942

That's right. Thanks for the correction.

99% inheritance tax. Boom, done. Government steals everything, resets the debt, and gains a population of slaves.
