This is not news at all.
Apple always makes things go obsolete after a short period of time.
It used to be the headphones and everything would come with the purchase of your iphone.
Now your iphone doesnt even have its own headphone jack.
You need to buy the airpods, or a dongle that turns into a headphone jack.
Its messed up.
