PRAYER OF THE DAY - Luke 15:10
Dear God, Creator of all things, we thank You for granting us this new day. Just as You taught us in Luke 15:10, we recognize and celebrate the joy that breaks into the heavens when a sinner repents and returns to You. We ask that You help us to welcome each new dawn with gratitude in our hearts, recognizing the opportunity to approach You and our fellow human beings with love and compassion.
May we, as Your children, spread the light of Your goodness and mercy to all who cross our path on this day. Help us to be instruments of forgiveness, reconciliation and hope, reflecting Your infinite love for all beings.
Grant us, O God, the wisdom to recognize the opportunities for spiritual growth and service to others that You place before us. May we act with generosity, humility and compassion, following the example of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray,
Amen.
Luke 15:10 is part of Jesus' parables about the joy in heaven at the repentance of sinners. In this passage, Jesus teaches that there is great joy among God's angels whenever a sinner repents and returns to Him. This demonstrates the love and mercy of God, who always seeks restoration and reconciliation with those who have fallen away. This message reminds us of the importance of repentance and the search for a life aligned with God's teachings, as well as encouraging us to share this joy with others.
