PRAYER OF THE DAY - Luke 21:27

Beloved God, Creator of the Universe and Source of all Light and Wisdom, on this new day that begins, we turn to You in humility and reverence. We recognize that You are the Lord of time and space, and that in You we find our refuge and our strength. Just as Luke 21:27 teaches us, we remember that one day the Son of Man will return with power and great glory. May this certainty inspire us to live each moment with faith and hope, preparing ourselves for his coming.

Give us, Lord, the serenity to face the challenges that this day may bring, knowing that You are with us at all times. Grant us discernment to make wise choices and courage to follow the path of truth and justice. May our words and actions reflect Your love and grace toward everyone we encounter throughout the day.

Strengthen us, O God, with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, so that we can face adversities with confidence and hope. Help us to remain firm in faith, even in the face of the uncertainties and tribulations of this world.

May the promise of the glorious return of the Son of Man inspire us to live vigilantly and dedicatedly, always seeking Your will in all areas of our lives. May we be instruments of Your love and Your grace, sharing the hope we have in Christ with those around us.

May this day be blessed by You, O God, and may we live in communion with You and our fellow men, always seeking the Kingdom of Heaven in everything we do. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray.

Amen.

Thank you! I wonder if one interpretation of Jesus returning is maybe not that he will return for everyone on the same day, but that he will return to each person at their moment of death to guide them to heaven? Something I’ve been pondering.

I believe that each person will have their encounter with Jesus individually, because humanity is constantly evolving, and not everyone follows it or each one goes at their own pace, in the same way, the arrival of Jesus can be seen as our arrival to Jesus. Each one with their own path, pains and joys and acceptance at the right time, some at the time of death, others before it.
