After 4 weeks and 4 podcast episodes, the Bugle has hit 1000 downloads, which is surprisingly good for a new podcast. The numbers do seem a bit low seeing as we are professional journalists, but still it would seem that podcast has been received with much fan fair.

We primarily use Fountain for the podcasting 2.0 features and have had 37 individuals support us with boosts, equaling close to 200,000 sats in donations or about a carton and a half of cigarettes.

The feedback we have gotten from our listeners is that primarily tune into to listen to our advertisements for our sponsors PODCONF, US Army, the Anti Toxicity League, and others. This may make our podcast the first one that people seem drawn to for ads, instead of the others which people skip the ads.

@rodpalmer and myself started the podcast because we were concerned that:

  1. There weren't enough Bitcoin podccasts
  2. The PODCONF industrial complex was taking over

We wanted to solve these two issues, and so far it appears like it's working out pretty well. With the bull run beginning, we expect our numbers to shoot up, as well as donations, meaning that all the costs that go into making the podcast (The amount of cigarettes smoked while recording and planning) will likely be covered, allowing the Bugle to expand.

Thank if you have supported us. We will try to find more creative ways to extract satoshis from you going forward.

Great job Bugle. Any thoughts on Trudeau's new budget?

I haven't been paying much attention to Canada. Drop a link and i'll get back to you on this

reply

You might like it. They raised capital gains taxes to generate more revenue but will just drive rich people and business out of the country. Gotta be some clever story in there.

reply

Oh actually I think I did see something about this. Yes raising taxes is great because the more funded government is, the safer we are

reply

Exactly. Imagine all the great public service jobs they can create with that money.

reply

I expect the Canadian economy to boom as a result of this policy.

have had 37 individuals support us with boosts,

one of them is Michael Saylor?

reply

Not yet. Too difficult to get his funds out of coinbase custody to custodial lightning to support us

TheWildHustle has been cooking up something interesting......

He'll probably release it on Github, and contact the PODCONF at a later date.

Keep up the great work freaks!

How did you learn how to bugle? You were always a bugler type journalist?

reply

Both Rod and myself (Dick) got our bachelors degrees in journalism from prestigious academies of excellence.

reply

Hey, Out of those 37 supporters, one was I.

The PODCONF industrial complex was taking over

Yes, you're right, who else than bugle can solve this?

reply

We are humanities last hope
