I think the disinformation campaign targeting UFO sightings and study wants people to think every UFO sighting is one lone nut that saw some lights in the sky.
They’ve been very effective at this.
However, a large amount of unexplainable sightings (not talking about the 80-90% that have prosaic explanations) have multiple, independent witnesses describing the same thing.

I used to think people were just bored and let their imaginations run wild. That is probably still the case sometimes, but now I'm starting to doubt myself!
