So, I'm pretty certain this is a scam,

Should SN do something when a post is either a confirmed scam, or very likely to be a scam?
agreed
reply
Yep, eventually we'll need some kind of flagging.

OP posted just it a second time.
Time to bring out a Banhammer?
reply
We don't have a banhammer and I don't want to wield one. Besides, it's trivial to create new accounts.
The long term solution is probably:
- allow users flagging items to inform each other
- start ranking 'recent' or hiding new users from 'recent' or some such
- increase posting costs and remove free posts
reply
Because it is a link post, the SN visitor viewing recent may not see the comments and the flags therein.
This isn't the first post likely to be fraud here on SN, but they've been surprisingly very rare. But as SN continues to grow, and the fraudsters start sharing their tricks on their Discords, ... I suspect this won't be anywhere near the last of them.

I see that.
It definitely had marked all the checkboxes of a con. Could've be wrong, of course. We'll see.

I agree. Comment warnings aren't going to be sufficient for long.
