A short and sweet one today. Do you think modern athlete's deserve the at times incredulous salaries they receive or do you think there should be salary caps on how much an athlete can make?
If you would have asked me 5 years ago my answer would have been yes, there should be salary caps on how much an athlete can make, but now I would say my answer is a bit more nuanced. Even though I'm an athlete myself, it has been within these last 2, 3 years that I've developed a much deeper understanding and respect for professional athletes of all sports because I now have a better sense of what it truly takes to become a professional and rise to the top within the immensely competitive sports industry. Therefore, my current opinion is that athlete's deserve to make what they make and there should not be any sort of salary cap, as in my mind it is not the athlete that should be punished for the hard work he / she has put in their whole life to reach such high levels of performance, but the overarching business of the sports world and the corruption within the fiat business side of sports and athletics that needs to be looked at with more critical eyes.
With that being said, I also feel there needs to be more emphasis on empowering athletes with the knowledge of financial education and education on money at large, and of course Bitcoin education. Because at the end of the day, the fiat denominator is always infinity thus whether you make hundreds of millions playing baseball or football or what have you, or make minimum wage at McDonalds, it all trends toward zero, and those without sats will suffer, 500 million dollar salary or not.
Deserve doesn't enter into it for me. I believe in the free market. An athlete is worth what someone is willing to pay.

Salary cap? WTF?! Is there a cap on what the teams can earn?

I don’t mind salary caps for teams to ensure leagues have some sort of competitive balance between large and small markets but not a fan of caps on salaries for individual players. If you want the best player in the league you should pay up for them and figure out how to make that work in your team cap figure. You shouldn’t get bailed out by a league wide max contract mandate.
