On SN, that's what I use the word boost for. It boosts the ranking of a post. I'm using the word as it's defined.
How am I promoting a podcast by boosting it?

I think boosting podcasts on Bubbler or Gusty causes the episode to rank higher in the promoted/discovery area of the app
