Second quarter 2022 GDP advance estimate is -0.9%
-0.9% vs +0.5% expected
Wait, who expected +0.5???
I thought this was relatively well known and even in the mainstream media that it will be sub zero?

The fact that a lot of experts put on their concerned faces only a month ago... infuriating. It's not confusion, it's complicity.

"You think, I dare say, that our chief job is inventing new words. But not a bit of it! We're destroying words—scores of them, hundreds of them, every day. We're cutting the language down to the bone. [...] "Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In 2 years it will be a depression caus it will not grow again because they are not doing growth policies, they are doing spend policies, and its not working. So the gdp will continue to shrink and in 12-24 months its a confirmed depression but lets see :)

Every single time there's been two quarters of GDP decline, a recession had been declared. Funny how NOW there's a debate on what a recession is because it might make this administration look bad.
The Biden admin should just give up on salvaging their reputation. Everyone knows that they suck and there's no use trying to hide it. Just take the L.
