I disagree, bitcoin works just fine without the public understanding how it works and that it is different than shitcoins “crypto”.  And to the bigger point of the post it has to work without permission from third parties or it has failed 

I am not saying your wrong it is one of those things that is how it is. BTC community needs to obviously do something about it to change the general public's mind but that is the line of thinking the masses are in.
