Yes, I may be biased, so I am asking SN hockey fans to watch this video and tell me whether this was a blatant, blind side vicious hit. I believe we are in the midst of a late season Rangers swoon, and Lavy is becoming unhinged.

What the hell? And don't get me started on the conspiracy fans in the comments who think they saw Pelech (who was clearly looking away) move to block him.
The comments on that tweet are insane lol
StillStackin are you an Islanders fan?
Yup, though basically a lapsed one. I had less time for sports fandom as I got older/had more family/job stuff, and hockey and later basketball fell largely by the wayside; I still check in to see how things are going, but day-to-day I'm usually only following baseball, football, and tennis.
Oh a tennis fan. Nice. I used to follow tennis very closely. Not so much anymore. Keep up with the majors but that's about it. When I lived in Toronto I would go to the Canadian Open (now called the National Bank open) every year. Saw a lot of great players and matches there.
It was sweet seeing the Flyers beat them last night. Tomorrow should be nuts.
Looked like a pretty big hit, but not intentional. Was there a penalty for it?
Edit: actually I wouldn't have thought it was a big hit if it weren't for the way he hit the ground
No penalty, and the ref was right there.
Isles are so dirty and obnoxious. Wait no thats just the fans and Butch. The Isles are just dirty.
I'm all set to enjoy the tears when the Rangers choke in the first round
Pffff the Rangers won't choke until the 2nd round
Seriously, they are a damn good team
They seem more resilient than they have been in the past but that 1st line needs to click or they're not going far
Neither was looking, they collided. Shit happens.
On a brighter note the Devils came back from behind to defeat the Leafs and the Panthers took down the Blue Jackets, which puts the Panthers 5 points ahead of the Leafs for home ice in their likely first round matchup. Panthers can still catch the Bruins for first in the conference but unlikely with the Bruins holding a game in hand.
I like this time of year, especially when my team gets hot at the right time. It took them long enough.
