Very few people and no businesses that I know of use bitcoin in my town. So other than talking to friends and family about it I’m wondering if there are ways I could contribute to bitcoin adoption and earn an income while doing it?

That's a great idea. I had this in my mind for a long time too. There are definitely more than one ways to achieve this. I will write a post in the future explaining in detail. The only challenge would be convincing businesses to adopt Bitcoin. However, with good skills in sales it's definitely doable. Recent post #501031 from @r3drun3 is an inspiring example.
