I know the WNBA isn't very popular but you don't think she will be able to get as many endorsement deals if she goes pro?

She was selling out stadiums with every game in college. College WBB fans are super passionate but for whatever reason they don't show loyalty in fan viewership going into the WNBA. Unless she bucks the trend and fans follow her en masse, I think the money will drop off quickly. If she doesn't quickly dominate at the next level I worry people will forget about her quickly. They might forget about her even if she does dominate. Unfortunately the WNBA is just not an aesthetically pleasing product.

Random side thought- after South Carolina coach Dawn Staley said "If you consider yourself a woman and you want to play sports or vice versa, you should be able to play"...
how long before a conservative group puts together a NIL sponsorship deal to get a "trans" athlete to wreak havoc in women's college basketball? It could be potentially be worth millions to someone who would otherwise walk on or ride the bench on a decent college men's team.
I have a friend who couldn't walk onto our school's mediocre men's team but would help on the practice squad for the championship contending women's team and would regularly thrash them.

I saw that clip. That was painful to watch. Seemed like she didn't want to answer but felt she had to for fear of cancellation or her job maybe.
Isn't that what occurred with the swimmer? Where he wasn't good enough to compete in the men's field and then dominated the womens.

Yeah Lia Thomas who was just "competitive" enough as a swimmer to make it fair-ish and didn't shatter any records.
I'm here with popcorn for the inevitable Joe Rogan brain explosion when a trans athlete starts really mopping the floor in a women's sport.
If someone played it smartly they could collect money from both the far right and far left haha. Far right could kick it off by incentivizing it under the table and if they embrace the activism they could be a hero for the far left.

It is going to come to a head eventually.
