Reminds me of Australia when we climbed a mountain very early in dangerous pitch darkness just to find out at the top that you can't see the sunrise because it was overcast :/
Guess we should have taken the warnings serious to check the weather beforehand.
At least we weren't the only disappointed ones haha
So true. There is no substitute for totality. When it comes to eclipses, it's all or nothing.
