Turn on the computer, look a at the list of things that needs to be done, do as many of those things as possible, update the list, turn off the computer.
Do you just tackle anything that catches your fancy or do you buckle down on the task that will yield the most mileage even though it may be difficult and you just feel like procrastinating? Haha

Momentum is important, and you gain it (at least I do) by marking those lines as done. Sometimes you need to gain momentum before tackling big/boring ones, sometimes you don't (depends on the mood). The important thing is to never lose momentum.
