Many would agree that Nietzsche is one of the greatest philosophers of all time, but is he right when he says:
Today as always, men fall into two groups: slaves and free men. Whoever does not have two-thirds of his day for himself, is a slave, whatever he may be: a statesman, a businessman, an official, or a scholar. –Friedrich Nietzsche, Human, All Too Human (1878) Photo by Ezra Bailey
Nietzsche stresses the importance of personal freedom and having time for oneself. The way you use your time affects your sense of freedom, whether you're a leader, professional, or academic. If your work consumes most of your daily time, you become a slave to it.
