Isn't any researched belief a time sink in one way or another?
It would be an odd psy op to make certain people look crazy without any specific benefit in mind. Gaslighting, for instance, has the benefit of making the person in question look crazy, and so then they aren't believed. Q posts offer evidence trails to verify the belief in question. That's also very odd....

yes, thats why we need to triage how deep we go into whatever rabbithole and to what purpose it serves to oneself
benefit could be to make trump supporters look like crazy people, the use it in sound bits in the newscycle, i believe a lot of this was happening in the last us election cycle, but the details are hazy now

Well, in relation to the Clintons and Obamas who are seemingly never made to look crazy, and the media which pretty much hates Trump, does it make more sense that the crazy people are running the asylum or that the people seeing the crazy are crazy?

indeed, I think for most, the solution is to build a world you believe in based on your values, and to guard against time theft of your attention

The solution for most is to create a reality bubble. That can be quite dangerous, as when something does demand one's attention, one blocks it out or treats it flippantly.
