Wow, that's amazing, their voices are mega. It's a great track from that movie, and these guys do a brilliant rendition of it. Massive massive voices. Great submission 👊
I'm glad to hear the guys doing well. His lyrics came from a place of someone who really struggled.
So far away however definitely came from a much better place so I'm glad to hear that they're still producing music as that leads me to assume that he's doing so much better.
Was listening to Letters to Cleo on my walk yesterday, and since @astro_penguin posted a Staind song called "Here and Now," here's another song with the same title:
They were a brief flash in the pan in the '90s (and like Staind, they're from MA), but the lead singer also did the singing voice for Josie in the underrated Josie and the Pussycats movie in the early 2000s.
Try this acoustic cover by NOAPOLOGY (formerly known as Sershen& Zaritskaya) I think they turn this into much more of a love song. Daria Zaritskaya has a really beautiful almost smokey quality to her voice.
In some of her other covers she's got the range to get right up there aswell, but her lower range is like sitting Infront of a fire in a leather chair with a cigar or pipe in a proper velvet smoking jacket. She's 100% one of my vocal crushes, I love her sound. And Sershens guitar talent is fantastic, I love what he does with some of their other covers, dudes fantastically talented.
The video for Bubumara (Ladybug) from Emir Kusturica's movie Black Cat White Cat, performed by Emir Kusturica and the No-Smoking Orchestra. The movie is a comedy about gypsies on the Danube.
I enjoy it sometimes when artists don't take themselves to seriously and have fun and put out silly tracks with silly music videos just showing that they enjoy what they do. Too many musicians in the industry are too serious about it. And in the words of Heath Ledger (RIP) "why so serious?"
It's Sunday, so I'm still rolling with "Steve Wrights, Sunday Love Songs"
Here's one of the more polarising bands in Rock music, the marmite of the Hard Rock scene. Hailing from Alberta Canada, here's what Deadpool has to say about them!
"50 million albums worldwide, 11th best selling musical act of all-time, Billboard's most successful group of the last decade, six Grammy nominations, 12 Juno Awards -- those count -- six Billboard music awards, two American Music Award, one People's Choice Award, Canadian, and a partridge in a [bleeping] pear tree."
