I've heard good reviews about Voltage. I'm thinking about it, but not for the moment. The main problem I see is that they don't offer the option of CLIGHTNING with CLBOSS, which is the one I like and prefer most.

there is a reason why largest LN nodes are on big cloud servers with fast and reliable connection and storage.
I would not give up on keeping your own nodes, but in a cloud server instead, you may have a better experience then. Don't be so paranoid as you said.
But it is ok, the new mobile phone apps like Zeus or Blixt seem good.
