In my case I'm going to be playing my Final fantasy IX on the PSX that I've been wanting to play again for some time, what are you guys going to be playing? I think I'll also play some World of Warcraft if I have some time to spare
I just finished The Neverhood (English patched) yesterday.
I'm thinking of trying some RPGs from the Mana series or Chrono Trigger as I never played any.
In the meantime I have ongoing playthrough of Pokemon Emerald, Klonoa 2 and the second storyline in Threads of Fate (the boy's side).

For emerald are you using plain ROM? Or with some hacks?
reply
The plain Emerald ROM.
I'm not an heavy pokemon player, so I've yet to enjoy even the original ones.
If I had to choose an hack I would like to try one that let me go wherever I want without some dumb Team [something] blocking my way.

I'm asking because recently I finished "Modern Emerald" ROM hack and I really enjoyed the experience improvements it provides (e.g. faster clicking through dialogs, quick action to do bike, etc)
reply
Interesting, if I feel like going for a new Pokemon game I'll try it!
reply
Pokemon emerald, what a great game, I played the sapphire and ruby version first, more exactly the first one was ruby, but I have played them all, I hope you enjoy it, the other titles you mentioned I don't know them
reply
So far I don't regret anything with Emerald, it's truly a roleplaying game, it really feels like "I" am the one to stumble in the events.
Also, it's rare for a game to have a mostly relaxing environment, like Harvest Moon for example.
The other games I mentioned are good too, and if you like Game Freak works you should also try Drill Dozer a surprisingly fun title!
reply
They're titles I'll definitely look for, yes, I'm a fan of Game Freak, so why not give them a try.

TBH, I have left playing video games a year ago only. Used to play PUBG a lot and it was quite a fun. But one day I realised that I was playing that game just to kill time. I was doing a job back then but I somehow manage to extract some time to for video games. Now, when I am more free because I don't do freakin' job, I don't play video games. What I do instead, I am busy with SN and stackers, learning about Bitcoin, writing on various topics, doing some work for cleaning our environment and occasionally do a walk around to our mango gardens and fields. I have adopted 'Life as a game' now.
reply
I also spend most of my time busy, but it's also okay to find time to play some game you really like :)
reply
Baldurs Gate. Already played a bit, I'm at the point where you finish up with the "first" territory and are about to advance
reply
it's so good. i'm on my 3rd playthrough and it still blows me away sometimes
reply
I've never played, is it a strategy game?
reply
party-based RPG, a bit like Dragon Age
reply
cool I have a physical copy of dragon age, very good game
I guess the one you recommend is very good too, I'll look for a short gameplay to see.
reply
I'm a huge Civilization addict, but I haven't been playing because of the SN 😂 But I'll definitely play next week, this level of SN madness is not for me 😂
reply
I also like them a lot, I have played Imperivm, Imperivm Civitas, Zeus the god of Olympus, and some others that I don't even remember the name of, no doubt my favorite is Impervm of those I have tried.
reply
I've been playing Civ since 2001 (Civ III) and I've been hooked ever since. I'm familiar with the ones you mentioned but I've never played them. I hope Civ 7 comes out sometime next year.

A couple of match in Against the Storm <3, a possible from time to time RollerCoin to earn clean sats.
reply
I have an account with more than 10 PHs abandoned on rollercoin, I didn't have time to dedicate :(
reply
It's a debase currency run... not a good "time" spender, it's better to read something that "try" to get sats from there, the games are easy enough a quick to play a little.
reply
I wish I had time to devote to a more immersive game, but I'll probably just fill some spare time with mobile games that earn sats rewards.
I finished the rewards for Klondike, which was fine, and now I'm working through Family Island and Gardenscapes, which are also fine as time-fillers.
reply
Those games pay sats? maybe I'm interested in spending some time on them, I've played ZBD games that aren't bad to earn some sats in Lightning, thanks for recommending them.
reply
They pay better than most ZBD games that I remember. I haven't played any ZBD games for a while though.
As far as I know, you have to link them to another app like lolli or sMiles to get the rewards.
reply
Interesting, you can send me your referral link if you want, I'll use them :)
reply
Thanks sMiles: Undisciplined582

Saved, as soon as I have a moment, I download the app and put your referral name, thanks ;)

I'm having a fantastic time with "Pokemmo online" it's great to be able to enjoy one of my first video games as a child again. And what I enjoy the most is that I play with my 6-year-old daughter and she is really excited about being a Pokémon trainer and traveling to all the regions... For me it is simply magical to be able to live the game again and now see how she lives it my daughter, it is more satisfying than anything else. Simple Magic
reply
Pokemon is magical, it's true, although I don't know that game, the one I've played is Pokemon revolution online, I guess you know it, is Pokemmo better than the one I played?
reply
I don't know the one you mentioned... But "Pokemmo" is like going back in time and playing with your (GameBoy) the graphics are good and everything is very retro, just as it was at the time, only now we can go between regions and We can play alongside other players, and battle too. Among other things!! If you've ever played a version like "fire red", "scarlet" or some of those on (GameBoy Color or GameboyAdvanzed) you're sure to enjoy it a lot. They even have a market where you can buy or sell the pokemon you catch hahaha
reply
Yes, the one I say is very similar, it has a market, you can travel to all the regions of retro pokemon games and such, but I'll try the one you say, I'm a big fan of pokemon so yes I've played almost all the versions :)
reply
I was curious but never dug in it. How does it work?
I also never played MMO in general.
reply
it's very similar like I told you, just tried this one for computer version and mobile version, so you could play with your daughter too, it's very similar to Pokemmo from what you told me
reply
Oh, nice! Last time I checked the android version wasn't released yet.
I tend to avoid playing on PC since I work on it for way to much time, most of my playtime is on my Raspberry Pi through Lakka.

I'm hoping to spend some time on TerraTech Worlds. It's a reimagining of the original TerraTech, which was a game I played for a huge amount of time!
reply
I've never heard of that game, what is it about?
reply
The term the devs use to describe it is a construction sandbox. Basically you're dropped on an alien planet with a small robotic vehicle called a tech, and you can mine natural resources like trees and rocks to refine and sell off world. You can also use the raw materials to create new parts for your vehicle. There are rival techs out doing the same thing you are, so you need to protect yourself and your base as well. The late game gets pretty interesting, you can build hovering vehicles and planes.
The vehicles are built from blocks and other parts, so there's a little bit of Minecraft influence. The original TerraTech has a basic story mode in place, but it's primarily designed to be a sandbox. The new one has been in early access for just over a week, so not a lot of content to this point.

Path of Exile
reply
I read something about Path of exile, I think about an expansion, is that true?
reply
Yeah, they come out with a new season/expansion about every three months. Usually the new content each season gets rolled into the core game.
Similar to how Magic: The Gathering keeps coming out with new expansions and adding more cards to the core game, PoE does the same in the ARPG genre.
reply
How interesting, every 3 months is quite frequent, that keeps people wanting to play, is it a good game to play with friends? I only tried it for a few hours.
reply
every 3 months is quite frequent
Three months is pretty frequent. This game dev talk by Chris, goes over their thought process for releasing new content: Designing Path of Exile to Be Played Forever Great talk about project development in general.
is it a good game to play with friends?
Yeah it's great with friends, and there's an awesome community of people around the game. Oh and a dynamic player-driven economy (my favorite part): https://poe.ninja/economy/necropolis/currency
reply
Thanks a lot! I'll keep that in mind when I want to try out a new game to play with friends :D
reply
No Man's Sky for sure :)

Same 100%

That's a good game indeed

Just finished King's Quest 5 and 6. About to start 7. Also Playing a bit of ARK Survival Evolved because I enjoy grinding.

Starcraft 2, I play it religiously since day 1 release a decade ago. In fact I am just starting to teach my partner to get into it.
Just finished stellar blade demo as well, pretty fun overall. A lot more challenging than I expected but I enjoyed it

no video game for me this weekend. well hold on is ZBD bitcoin miner considered a video game?
reply
I'd love to suggest my Bitcoin Whac-A-Mole game for anybody that wants to cleanse the pallet between bigger games. :)
reply
what's that game about?
reply
You are an unelected, unaccountable, multinational organization that intends to get the use of Bitcoin outlawed world-wide. Whac it when you see it gain prominence in a country but BEWARE! When you miss, the hash rate rises faster than normal and when the hash rate is 100 EH/s more than the time of a country's ban, the ban is lifted. This can get out of hand quite quickly! I'll give you around 40 years to try. Good luck!

Since I have got PC that can handle modern games I lost the same excitement as I had when I was teenager without PC and payed to play in games saloon. So the only game I play daily is chess
