Just ignore them. Bitcoin and LN will be here, no matter what they will say. Bitcoin cannot evolve without LN. Transacting onchain will be much and much harder from now on. LN cannot exist without Bitcoin mainnnet. LN is the payment network for the Bitcoin mainnet (onchain, final settlement).
