The premise that a superintelligent AI would want to "rewrite all of history" to serve some nefarious agenda is speculative and not well-justified. There are many other potential motivations an advanced AI could have beyond deceiving humanity about the past. It assumes this AI would be motivated and capable enough to modify all physical evidence down to a microscopic level, which seems like an immense undertaking even for a superintelligence.
Hashing torrents files captures metadata, not the actual data content. The data itself must still be preserved separately. Capturing all relevantadata to confirm pre-singularity reality would likely require petabytes or more of storage space.
