...but will be not hard enough.

Germany specifically

🇩🇪 Decided by the EU Committee:
🚫 Prohibition of cash payments over 10,000 €
🆔 Prohibition of anonymous cash payments over 3,000 €
₿ Prohibition of anonymous crypto payments to hosted wallets, even for small amounts

Keep on fighting, guys. The EU is in deep trouble and we will win!

reply

I don't think it's a fight. We just need to opt out, voluntary, silently, non-violently! Fighting still meaning you recognize their imposed "power".

Now they have an enforcement challenge to contend with. They will find out how completely ineffective government is against Bitcoin.

on the prevention of the use of the our financial system for the purposes of money laundering or terrorist financing

Competition is heating up.

The EU has fulfilled its purpose and ran its course. Time to dissolve it.

Can someone give me an example where you will need an " anonymous crypto payments to hosted wallets, even for small amounts" ?

reply

Buying stuff from bitrefill, silent.link, etc.

reply

So Bitrefill will have to do kyc in Europe then?

reply

I'm guessing so, yes.

reply

would VPN work then?

reply

I don't think so. I think they will implement Kyc based on the product, not a country. Like if you want to buy a gifcard for Amazon.de it doesn't really matter what country you are from, it matters that's it's .de so you have to do kyc to buy it. But we will see how it works in ~ 1 month.

reply

Prohibition of drugs, alcohol, works great.

reply

Do you think? They make it illegal so they can have the monopoly and jail anyone else doing it.

reply

I was being sarcastic.

It doesn't work. It just distorts the market.
