Back to the roots — am I the only one curious about how things are being made from scratch?
Making things from scratch is my meditation. Just got a Clogger's Knife from a popular Forge on Etsy yesterday. Going to set it up and use it to make Kuksas this weekend.

for me, it's about learning history and creative problem-solving like how on earth people can find out silk and then make fabric with it, even coming up with beautiful colors, wow, and seeing what is possible.

Yes! I've often found some useful ancient skill I've acquired to be applicable in my regular work. I'm a great fan of history classes from "The Great Courses". I think it's always a good idea to take a deep dive into a subject.

I love to learn about ancient hacks! usually all you need is the right materials, simple tools, with basic techniques, and you can just get things done! and improve it on your own with enough patience and practice.
Now, many people think it's really hard to make things or they need to invest in many fancy tools or even machines to make anything, so it's better to buy... thus working harder to buy the "better" ones.
