Europe is in a war with Russia (even if most do not yet realise it) and in war anything goes.
We didn’t do this to Germany in the first and second world wars.
Europe chose to declare war on Russia. They are under no obligation to defend Ukraine.

We probably should have. Yes. Europe wants to defend itself from future aggression. Russia has a well documented history of invading their neighbouring countries.
You are ok with Russia invading a sovereign country, but someone punishing them by taking their money is not? Jesus christ.

My position is the West should be neutral in this conflict.
Extending NATO membership to Ukraine is a geopolitical blunder especially since 26 members are delinquent on their membership dues.

It was a mistake to extend membership to the Warsaw Pact and Baltic states
We should remain neutral between Russia and Ukraine. No strategic interest for West except provoking Russia
