Halt and Catch Fire is an American period drama television series created by Christopher Cantwell and Christopher C. Rogers. It aired on the cable network AMC in the United States from June 1, 2014, to October 14, 2017, spanning four seasons and 40 episodes.[1][2] It depicts a fictionalized insider's view of the personal computer revolution of the 1980s and the early days of the World Wide Web in the early 1990s.[3] The show's title refers to computer machine code instruction Halt and Catch Fire (HCF), the execution of which would cause the computer's central processing unit to cease meaningful operation (and in an exaggeration, catch fire).[4]

I caught a few episodes of that TV show, but I wasn't really a big fan :) I do like the opening song, though. It sounds like Offspring, Blink-182, or Green Day. It reminded me of another show, which isn't about vampires but about traveling between parallel worlds.

It was by a band called nerf herder they didn't really do much else other than this song. Or at least, didn't have as much success as this song.
It was huge when I was growing up. It was on either before or after an episode of Stargate... So now you know my evening routine as a kid 🤣
I remember sliders!!! I'd wondered what happened to that show. I thought it was loopers or jumpers or something, couldn't remember the name of the show. Dude had a watch or something that opened some kinda portal if I remember right?
reply
As a kid, I was more into Dragon Ball, Transformers, and Spider-Man than vampires. :)
I know they were portals between parallel worlds, but I can't remember if it was a clock that opened them. I don't even know how I remembered this :)

It was definitely something to do with time, a clock or a watch or something like that.
It's weird how the strangest thing can jog the memory into some really niche TV show haha 🤣

I just confirmed, it's this device that looks like a 'taser'. Memory is incredible, we can go years without thinking about a certain thing and then just a small click is enough to remind us, truly amazing.

What a blast from the past 🤣🤣 shoulda held onto this gem for throwback Thursday 🤣🤣 thanks for reminding me of that, I might go and try to dig it out on YouTube or somewhere and rewatch it.

I dug it up from the depths of my memory. ahahah
Whoops! I forgot to attach the image in my previous post. Here it is, finally!
That's a really eerie intro. I've not seen the show, but the intro sounds almost ominous. I'll have to check this show out.

Mack for sure.

Mack is my second favorite, but I prefer Scoot. If you ask a salesperson, they'll say Lee. This series is also incredible because of that, it has these 3 very good characters.
