• hobbies/activities that you aim to give up:
    • I sit a lot in chairs when I program in Pleb Lab (even though I don't have chairs at home)
      • we should be moving into a new office soon, where I'll hopefully move in my standing desk
  • hobbies/activities that you don't think you can give up:
    • I chew nicotine gum, like way too much (even though I've never smoked)
  • hobbies/activities that you intentionally don't give up because while it may seem high time preference, it is important to your sanity
    • watching TV rather than reading more
      • If I do it right, I'm often pretty intellectually worn at the end of a day of programming and destress by watching TV
      • It's nice because it's a shareable activity vs reading a book, so can count as time with the SO
Can't recommend a standing desk enough. I also try to walk around during calls to get some steps in
It took a while to give up cigarettes - I think learning about Bitcoin helped me realize that I need to think about my future children more
Amen on the TV, brother. I shamelessly watch TV with the family - it's great bonding time if you choose the right content
