One of the risks of being quiet is that the other people can fill your silence with their own interpretation: You're bored. You're depressed. You're shy. You're stuck up. You're judgemental. When others can't read us, they write their own story-not always one we choose or that's true to who we are.
— Sophia Dembling, The Introvert's Way: Living a Quiet Life in a Noisy World.
I totally agree. I've caught myself doing it too, but I know we can be completely wrong, so we shouldn't give those thoughts too much weight. But why do people have this habit of judging others based on their appearance or neutral behaviors? Is it just curiosity or something more?

Is it just curiosity or something more?
It might be curiosity in some cases, but most of the time it’s because of an evil desire people have to harm others, I think.

That's a great read for introverts. Every introvert must read it word by word and it will definitely help them out.

Agreed!

I don’t have a problem with this. On the contrary, I’m loud haha

This assumes you care what random people think of you - or anyone for that matter. You should always be yourself. You should never try to change yourself based on others perceptions. That is a psychological recipe for disaster.

I’m not sure if this is the point of the above quote.

That's how I read it. The quote seems to be saying that people may apply negative descriptors to someone who is quiet. Why should one care what others may perceive you to be without speaking to you? It feels like the quote is almost encouraging the reader to develop a people-pleasing attitude because somehow "being quiet is bad".
Again, my interpretation.
