I played through it a couple of years ago. I hadn't played a Zelda game before it.
I remember being struck by all the attention to mechanism detail. Every little thing I did in the game felt like someone thought carefully about the interaction, no matter how small, and there are so many interactions in the game. The UX felt comprehensive in a way that I almost never encounter. It was an inspiration.
That's awesome your first Zelda experience was BOTW.
My first was an OG Gameboy one. Don't remember much about it.
Not many games can really suck you in and make you feel like you are in another world.

I have played it since the first NES games. My favorites are the first one, Link to the past on SNES, and ocorana of time of course. Then the new ones. It's probably because I was a kid during the early releases. Interesting that I came back to it 20 years later. It's the only video game I really play.

It's been a nice blend of old school feels and memories with some really cool new gaming experiences. Gliding is captivating.

Yeah. The paraglider is the best. It's a very calming game to me.
