I played football from 9-15. In high school, we'd take Motrin before games and practice to deal with the headaches from impacts. I often wonder what that did to my brain.
Most people I talk to about it think it's unlikely the brain trauma was significant because we were young, and in their minds, we weren't hitting each other that hard. But my pop warner team wasn't some rinky dink team.
It seems like there must be some kind of effect. Taking motrin before the games. That's crazy. I don't know. I really don't like hitting my head.

I'm really sensitive to seeing head injuries. When watching soccer, I wince anytime the ball is headed.

Yeah. It freaks me out. I don't like seeing anything hurt ever to be honest.

I'm really curious about the role of memory in self-formation. Most people I know remember different things well and its common for us all to hallucinate on recall. It seems really important.

I say there are as many stories multiplied by the number of tellers. Everyone has a different version. Is history set in stone. Is it an illusion. You always hear people say, there is only now. 🤔

there are as many stories [as the number of stories] multiplied by the number of tellers.
I like that.
