Just brainstorming here. I want to somehow combine the privacy (read: encryption) of DMs with the multi-threaded flexibility of posts.
Yes, it seems we can built a client for any and every possible use case... but short of that - what are your collective thoughts on this?
The special use case I'm thinking of is a bot that helps you think/brainstorm/double check assumptions/play devil's advocate. Having a tree of conversation branches (threads) where the conversations takes different paths seems useful. But, I don't want my conversations with the bot to be clear text.
I thought of just having threaded conversations with the bot, but everything would be encrypted. So it would look like gibberish to everyone else and clog people's feeds.
Alternatively, if I did this in DMs you'd have to end a thread to start a new one by sending a /new command or something similar. It would force a very linear conversations and old "threads" cannot be expanded upon.
I'm confused what do you mean by 'gibberish and clog'? But if there's one devil's advocate, a great idea indeed.

I'm saying i don't want text notes containing cypher-text. DMs are encrypted, but I'm not aware of encrypted kind-1 notes... unless that's the solution...!
You don't want to scroll your feed and see a reply note from someone you follow to a bot that says "d68ndbri8whr4gkw8====n1ofn4jsi93nxhab3babf==="
But, if I could filter for encrypted posts... that way i could have threads. And privacy. And if its a not kind 1 it shouldn't show up in your feed.
I need someone to write me a NIP... :)
