What I'd like to do is send calendar invites in the newsletter, but I don't know how to do that in a cross platform way.

Ah, thank you! I could have sworn I had seen something about Alex Gladstein joining for an AMA but I forgot where I saw it, thanks for jogging my memory on a Monday :) I'm looking forward to all of the great AMAs this week
