But... do you tell blue wallet or wallet of satoshi users to run a node?
Do you understand that people using VPNs are just pushing trust from one third party to another?

Fair, it's always strictly better to self-host your own services than relying on an untrusted third party.
But wallets backed by an Electrum server only leak individual Bitcoin addresses at a time, that otherwise are not related together. But by sharing the xpub with the backend Samourai and Sentinel leak all past, present and future addresses that the wallet will ever generate.
