It always feels weird talking about Bitcoin with nocoiners. In a bear market, you sound like a maniac. In a bull market, you sound like a show-off. So when is the perfect time?
You don't. You don't force the conversation, if they bring it up it is ok, if they don't you discuss other stuff. That's it.
I see it the same way
I've talked to so many over the years. Very, very few are willing to listen. They'll find it on their own time.
People who are genuinely curious about bitcoin will not call you a maniac or a show-off, no matter whether it is bull season or bear season.
I've always thought the perfect time is when they express a felt need. I had a guy and his kids over at my house last night. He had been trying to flip houses to protect his savings and had just recently got burnt out. I brought up Bitcoin as a much more stress free way of saving and it was the most receptive he's ever been. All this to say, I don't think the number go up or down timing is nearly as important as people's personal needs timing.
Every single person I talk to, either goes "it's backed by nothing" or "when to buy and when to sell"
I got no idea how to talk to neither of them, I tried to get them to think about concept of money, but fiat is so ingrained in their head, and it's impossible to explain how complex money really is.
Please send them these 3 guides to read:
You don't. Let them come to you.
Here are 2 guides:
When Bitcoin was at $18k they told it's scum because it dropped from 69. Today they think they are late

They are not late, they are insecure... :-)

I know. It's never too late

Only when they're ready. How do you know they are ready? They'll all you first about bitcoin, with very good questions.
Could you lend me some money?
Maybe just leave them behind.
Catch the game last night?
I think we shouldn't talk. Instead give them the orange π.
I don't talk to them, they come to me when there is bull market
donβt talk - show!
Just don't.
What interested me originally is number go up.
Then I started learning about money, and what it really is. I read the article - The Bullish Case For Bitcoin, then the book The Bitcoin Standard. And down the rabbit-hole from there.
But honestly, all of us here on Stacker.news are probably weird, and got interested in bitcoin differently from most people. Most people nowadays will probably get interested in bitcoin by necessity, when things start falling apart.
What is a nocoiner? Someone who is anti-bitcoin, or just has no strong opinion either way?
Good question, it can be both. Most people I know choose to ignore it and some stop bothering after doing 10 min of research.
They better start catching on or I am taking on @DarthCoin's attitude and way!

Oh, you said nocoiners...
My bad! ππ
