That's awesome skill on that guitar. The "slap bass" comparison is apt for sure. It's very impressive when I see guitarists employ the body of the guitar in a percussive way when playing. That "blufunk" fusion is really interesting. It's got those blues elements like you mentioned but with that funk style. Really fun fusion of styles.
