no, it's only good when you are relaxed and chill mode, so reading the books to learn things slowly; But under extreme situations, you might want to be more practical.

when talking survivals, you don't have the luxury to think that long?
long term wise, I would make my own paper and even pen to pass down all these experiences, but after figure out how to survive; you can remake books but once you are dead you are dead. š
