Since I heard someone say recently that inflation is accumulative (which we all know but I forget), every time I see things like this it pisses me off. The leeches in government pat each other on the back and expect gratitude that the rate of increase of price inflation has decreased. They are not reversing any inflation. That's not to mention the fact that these metrics are rigged.

yup, it’s all an optics thing.
imagine the chaos that would ensue if governments admitted “prices have risen a cumulative 69,420% in the last 100 years”
i wouldn’t be surprised to see a push towards citing monthly inflation numbers instead of annual ones simply because they appear smaller.

They will totally try that. Just a matter of time.
I laughed out loud when I heard Trump say the other day that inflation wasn't a problem when he was in charge... think about that for a second. And people follow these clowns.
