After watching the latest video from Bitcoin University, I was thinking that there is a very small possibility of this to happen, but what could happen if BlackRock forks Bitcoin, for example for a Proof of Stake version of Bitcoin, or some other shit, and important actors like big exchanges join their fork, and even coordinated environmental laws are created to ban proof of work in many major countries or laws banning new Bitcoin privacy features. What if we start to see that the hashrate starts to crash, making network less secure, and price keeps crashing? While their fork keeps the price stable. Would you still support it then? That's when we would see who is a real bitcoiner and who is not.
Then, would you run their version of Bitcoin? Or would you still run the original Bitcoin? Would you choose freedom and privacy?
Don't worry. It won't happen. There can only be one Bitcoin. By the way. Don't buy ETFs
It would be a disaster for BlackRock, as you can watch here: Will BlackRock Fork Bitcoin?
If they want to fork they can fork their mother. A fork is not dangerous to bitcoin. Forks are good. It separate idiots from real bitcoiners. But compliance. Compliance is what will kill bitcoin.
Let them fork. I will double my BTC as I did in 2017 with BCH fork.
