Responding out of respect for @Undisciplined.
Wow, this is hilarious. I RARELY see anyone here praising "the left", certainly not me. Especially not Biden or Obama. Honestly its not interesting to me. They are so pathetic store clerks that I wouldn't waste my time on. It is intellectually boring. I don't read stackers saying if we can just get BIden in there we will be alright. If people want to talk about the red team and blue team go anywhere else and get your fill of that garbage. I'd rather talk about intellectually interesting things you don't hear on every political podcast.
What I do see here are some people clinging to their political team as if that will save them. People that really should know better. People that probably will know better in 5 - 10 years. I was completely wrapped up in partisan politics on the right many years ago. I don't think folks realize how spun up they are by it all. How it is tainting their perception of reality.
In the US you have two parties. One is driving 90 miles an hour over the cliff and the other is driving the speed limit over the cliff. The conservative politicians are just progressives driving the speed limit. I hold no hope in politics, elections, or voting.

I actually do find this stuff interesting, but it's hard to talk about it without partisans flooding in with their talking points. I do generally agree with you about the particular political figures not being that interesting, though.
reply
Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. Partisanship is boring and the arguments fall flat on me. They are so tired and worn out. I have opinions on Trump and RFK and Biden but really don't care to waste my time writing about it or talking about it. Gets really old.

Do you have opinions about zero bail?
Law enforcement?
Death penalty?
IQ and race?

What issue is important to you?
What issue is not boring?

You wrote a piece about RFK
reply
Not all partisans are stubborn and not all talking points are wrong.
reply
That's certainly true, but talking points are boring because we've all heard them 1000 times already.

Fair enough
My problem is with the pejorative use of “talking point” to dismiss a valid argument
My lefty friends call me Mr talking points if I say anything they disagree with
Sometimes I say something not realizing it’s a talking point. I don’t carry notecards

Politics is boring and a waste of time.
Ergo people interested in politics are boring and wasting their time.
You’re probably right but you don’t have to be condescending either
reply
RFK is running as a third party
