i´m thinking to build a Bitcoin and a Lightning node , but I'm hesitating whether to use an older laptop that I use less, the problem is that I have a 1tb hard drive and I want to leave it on and never remember the node, that's why I doubt whether to buy a raspberry pi, buy another external hard drive or reuse the 2tb one that has plots of chiao I don't know.
What do you recommend?
I need the node to consume as little as possible and allow years of blockchain to be stored. I understand that the BTC blockchain already weighs. If I also want to play LN, I don't know if it will last.
Laptops are cool because they have a battery that doubles as a UPS. The 2 tb drive would last longer before you needed to upgrade.
Depends on how old the laptop is, I guess. An SSD makes a big difference, too.
