@Scoresby let's say I loan money, buy bitcoin. Now my bank has to settle with exchange. How does the need for settlement with the btc exchange impact the bank compared to if I had spent the money in the fiat credit economy?
I have a feeling the answer is not much. People may be buying a lot of btc, but I don't really think it is enough to shift balances meaningfully.
(I'm assuming you are getting at the idea that when you buy btc it ultimately has to settle and someone has to give you the btc, rather than just shifting dollars around in close proximity to the money printer.)
