What study or job would eventually lead to working with- or on Bitcoin?

I've posted earlier about how I've been jobless for a while and that I don't want to work long hours in bullshit jobs with bullshit pay anymore.
Ofcourse, I've been thinking about what a (future) job would need for me to be workable long-term; I've come up with the following:
  • Possibility of working flexible hours.
  • Possibility to WFH, at least partially.
  • Above-average pay
  • future-proof (think working anything tech or software-related)
  • A (possible) connection to Bitcoin, as in: doesn't have to be Bitcoin-only, but I'd be able to use my skills working on Bitcoin as well.
Those are the "traits" that I've been able to select for me personally when it comes to a full-time job.
The question is, what's the best route I could take to achieve the above (and possibly more) ?
I really hope that you guys can point me in some directions, since I think that there are quite a few people in here who've achieved the above already.

  1. I actually agree (as usual) with DarthCoin's answer, but that doesn't necessarily mean to "start a business." The best solution is always to make and sell your own product. That was also true in pre-Bitcoin times.
  2. Viz., working, you can look around the Bitcoin space for companies you like, whose work you approve of, and liason with them on Twitter, LinkedIn, BitcoinerJobs...or here, actually! This was also true for finding suitable work in pre-Bitcoin times, btw.
  3. You can do both of the above at the same time.

You misunderstood the point of the post: I'm not looking for jobs that pay me bitcoin, but a job which sets me up, and thus, allows me to also work on- or with Bitcoin.
I also don't want to be miserable for the decades to come in regards to the job I work, that's why I'm looking to combine the two.

You misunderstood the WHOLE point of my answer. I gave you a superior idea to think of, not just a meaningless job. But yeah, keep thinking in small things, not sure where you will end up.

The "make something" part most likely requires me to 1: invent something groundbreaking and ask BTC for it, or 2: start a business and offer a service or product for BTC, both of which are inherently difficult and risky.
I certainly don't want to be a business owner; I've seen the stress it can cause by people, and how horribly wrong it can go.

You don't need to invent something 'groundbreaking' in order to have a business - you just need to make or do something that others will trade value for, and charge bitcoin for it.
2: start a business and offer a service or product for BTC, both of which are inherently difficult and risky
bitcoin and entrepreneurship go hand in hand. almost every major company involved in the BTC space was made by people leaving their fiat job to build.

i see the sarcasm tag but it got me thinking:
maybe source components for people to build their own seedsigners & sell for BTC? they're off the shelf components, and also can be used for other things as well.
become a small parts electronics store selling products?

You don't necessarily have to go to school for computer science, but you could start learning programming and it's principles on your own.
