I am using archlinux, just thinking what I dislike but cant find anything. Maybe one, sometimes it happen that after update you need to downgrade because new package is not working ...

My friend sometimes tell me about it. You're getting the latest updates at first place, at the first place you encounter bugs and should fix it or retreat

I use Ubuntu and NixOS. Talk about extremes. I'm still a novice, so I sometimes need ubuntu's easy familiarity. I really think it's easier to run than windows for a non technical user at this point. I enjoy learning NixOS. I intend to run my node with it once I'm a little more confident. I've got my home manager set up and I'm playing around with flakes.

I like that Linux becomes day by day more user friendly and even non technical users can run it without any issues

I remember when I first tried Ubuntu about 10 years ago. I was working at the time and I ran into all kinds of driver issues, wifi, printing, etc. I eventually switched back to windows. It has come a long way.

Xactly. My friend has started to study linux since 2008 and now he is fluent it it. I wasn't ready to sacrifice my time and it's my bad, so I started to use Linux with COVID entered my country

I use OpenSUSE Aeon.

Pros:

stable
immutable and Atomic
SUSE believes way more in Open Source principles than any other similar company

Cons:

difficult to operate at system level (e.g. install a vpn client, Citrix, or other stupid apps with networking components)
documentation is not great, still wip
the community is way smaller compared to other distros

Linux is like a freedom, the more you get the harder to operate it

Running MacOS, but want to test out pop!_OS on a VM

At first I installed Xubuntu to my 2011 outdated laptop then I started to use Ubuntu on my main desktop. Out of the box it's irritating to change language in Mac style but it is easy to fix

Now I have two OS on desktop: W10 for games and Ubuntu for everything else
