There would be no Canadian hip hop scene without Canada's hip hop OG, Maestro Fresh Wes. Many consider him a one hit wonder but he had a number of hits and was popular for number of years in the late 80s and early 90s.

He was a trailblazer who paved the way for the next generation of Canadian rap and hip hop artists.
