There’s a great book called Alchemy by Rory Sutherland that explores the role of psychology in driving real results.
He’s an exec at Ogilvy and is a master of storytelling.
One of his chapters explains how in 1977, one fisherman re-named the Patagonian Toothfish to the Chilean Sea Bass, and caused it to explode in popularity at restaurants.
Ridiculously simple change, big results.

I remember that fish being all the craze in the early 80s. Then word got out about it's real name!

not just the early 80s, it kept increasing in popularity through the 2000s until illegal fishing operations got word of how expensive it was and began to extract them faster than they could reproduce.
massive, lasting change caused by a name upgrade.
