My kids tell me that I have to make a goal to take a leap on something today. (They also say you have to leap everywhere you go.)

You got any plans to take a leap?

this territory is moderated

Here's another framing from a conversation I had last night:

What opportunity is in front of you now, that is do-able by you now, that will not be do-able, or that will be much harder, later?

It's easy for me to see these opportunities for others, harder for myself.

I have so much trouble with this. Also the ability to look back and think I see all these opportunities that I missed/didn't leap to.

Thanks for the do-able now phrasing. I'm going to think on that for a while.

I watched this talk yesterday, it framed the attitude required pretty well I thought: #443323

We are going to run a pretty dramatic rewards experiment. I'm leaping to that.

So you can't reveal anything? I'm curious.

reply

All will be revealed soon.

I have bad knees, so leaping is something I try to avoid. :-)

But I'm trying to really spend some time today actually organizing my computer and my phone; I've got so many apps on both that I start to lose track of things, and I need a cleaner virtual environment to work in.

reply

Delete them! You can probably get by with less than ten apps on your phone. You'll be happier with fewer.

I tend to look before I leap. So, looking?

reply

Yes. My annual casino day is today. Will spend more than I have in previous years on slots and table games.

Not much of a gambler. But today, I am.

Started visulising to complete my biggest dream. I will roam around the world with a Bitcoin bike for the purpose of a Bitcoin awareness campaign. #414561 That's what I am taking a leap upon apart from making it count here at SN.

reply

Every year I plan to be the best version of myself. No exceptions this year!

reply

psh, that sounds like rank superstition to me (👀)

Working on my writing today. I've been a little annoyed at all the attention the BTC industry's been getting lately and am missing the quiet months of silent stacking.

reply

Yeah, the most frustrating part of it is the darn price keeps going up making it harder for me to get my hands on sats.

I decided to take a leap and buy a new camera lens! Nothing fancy, but it'll help with macro photography.

reply

There was a Frasier episode about taking a leap on leap day.

I wasn't planning on it but now that you mention it, I'm going to find some stairs and leap from the second step. #reckless
