Typically I find dead people receipts or doctors appointments.
Not a handwritten note. But I found a substantial chunk of cash in a library book once. I think it was around 80 USD in an envelope.

No but I've heard of people writing positive notes and placing them into books in stores and libraries, which I think is a wonderful endeavour.
