Viril gloom is a contradiction but there is a very good clue in this phrase. Virtue, virility all have the same root in semen. It is by not harnessing our Generative principal that we experience the gloom, melancholic feelings. There is no emotional growth. What is happening is that male and female humans are explicitly giving their life seeds for pleasure and are not harnessing those seeds for greater mental, emotional and spiritual development.
