Hi Stackers!
We launched Plebwork last Friday, February 23rd and in less than 3 days, 422 plebs created freelancer profiles with over 700 sign ups. We're mind blown by these numbers but have one huge gap to fill right now, which is that we have 0 job posted. One could say this is pretty laughable! Of course, we are reaching out to clients, meaning Bitcoin businesses looking to hire part-time freelancers to complete projects.
Our marketplace is in early access currently. We help with listing your jobs, browsing talent based on skills, and take care of invoicing and payments. Of course, it is 100% self-custodial as we built Plebwork with the BTCPay Server API. All payments are entirely pass-through from a client to a pleb's bitcoin wallet. For now we are focused on creating a market that is efficient and useful. As a client, you get invoices and payment receipts sent via email, and a dashboard to manage all your active jobs. Our feature set is pretty minimal for now. We are working on new things like detailed payments history with exportable invoices/receipts, notifications and streamlined account management to handle multiple jobs.
Of course we are building with early feedback and assumptions we are making on the product so any recommendations from anyone building on bitcoin would be very helpful.
If you are a builder or a Bitcoin business looking to hire part-time or contract-based talent, we'd to love to help you and learn from what you need.
